My goal is to understand the interplay between neuronal activity and gene expression, and how it is affected by disease in the retina and in the brain.

Dr. Leonor Afrima, PhD
Postdoctoral Associate
Leonor holds a B.S. in Animal Sciences, and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Bio-Medical Sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In addition, she was a Research Assistant at the Weizmann Institute of Science and an R&D Researcher at Phibro.
Dr. Yusof Gusti
Postdoctoral Associate
Yusof holds a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Technical Anatomy and Histology from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, and a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Dublin City University. He was previously a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Alan finished a major in Cell & Developmental Biology and a minor in Psychology at the University of Rochester, and is currently a Master's student in Medical Pharmacology.
